Urban Cycling Lab is a platform where they are generated creative ideas with the goal of improving mobility in cities and encourage cycling as a lifestyle.

Urban Cycling Lab works with companies and institutions seeking for active solutions, direct and environmentalists, as well as a positive impact and cultural significance in the community where they are.

Currently LCU is composed for a network of a urban cycling platforms including the Bycicle Film Festival MX and Mexicofixed.com

We curated the communication for the Thai architecture studio S+PBA, for the exhibition of their recent project called “A Post-Diluvian Future” at Aedes Gallery in Berlin. The infographic explains the project through the use of simple lines and circles, visually attractive invite the visitor to read all the information.

We curated the communication for the Thai architecture studio S+PBA, for the exhibition of their recent project called “A Post-Diluvian Future” at Aedes Gallery in Berlin. Their entire project is based on a solution for the floting future of bangkok. The words that they used to describe their project are:  happy nostalgia.
Working with this statement we thought that the appropriate communication could not be a catalogue but a box. Keeping on mind the “Fluxus boxes” we had the idea of a wonder box, done by recycled paper. The reference is also to the box that every one of us had during the childhood in which we were hid our secrets and hopes.With this box we wanted to communicate  the process instead of the project itself.
The main character is the hidden story behind the process, folded in a box.
20 different papers, 20 different texture, combined by metal clips.
In the digital era we wanted to use the analog media. As an old sketchbook we have combined together all the information in a precise story that can be displayed in different ways.

The objective of the course, organized in collaboration with Espresso Cycles, was to explore new alternatives for bicycles having a strong brand identity. The final works were then integrated into the company’s products’ catalogue.

Thanks to the course, the students have been introduced to the world of urban cycling and had the opportunity to learn about the techiques for the making of of a bicycle.

At Lo Spremiagrumi we do things, we meet people and we love writing about design, architecture, fashion, music, art, events and basically everything that comes up to our mind. Originally based between Mexico and Italy, our network has taken us to Thailand, Cambodia, Switzerland and Greece. Lo Spremiagrumi is a project by Mixt, a visual platform to exchange ideas, inspirations, but most of all, experiences.

We were responsible of the concept development, visual identity and the public relations of this workshop specialized in the design and manufacture of furniture.

La Carpinteria MX was born in Mexico City on the initiative of Ricardo Rodriguez Elias and his father Wilfrido Rodriguez Plata. La Carpintería MX is a small carpentry shop, with the aim of creating innovative products that transmit family values and traditions.

In 2010 Ricardo Rodriguez Elias was part of the creative team of Noiselab. He was responsible for the entire art direction and development of the web area of the company, He was part of the content management team participating in the development of new concepts such TV programs and online content.

We were invited by the departments of Visual Arts, Music and Drama at New International School of Thailand, NIST to run a 3 day workshop [from November 23 to November 25, 2010]. It was the first time that we had the chance to run a workshop with such young students from age 11 to 15. As you can imagine we were scared but at the same time we were so excited to see how they would have reacted. Keeping in mind the Munari learning method and the statement of “learning by doing” we have designed a course that aims at teaching the creative thinking process through the realization and communication of an idea. We have divided the class into three groups with 3 different themes.

These are the elements to start to play and discover again one of the eastern most charming games: “Hand shadow play” or “Chinese shadows”.
The rules are simple. You have to divide yourselves into groups. Then play Heads or Tails: pull the coin so you will know who will start the game. Choose a subject and then draw it on paper. Just you and the opposing team will be aware of what you are going to create with your hands. You have only 3 minutes to form the shadows and let your friends guess your image. Ready? So turn the hourglass … This game was realized with objects bought from flea markets, and small shops in Bangkok. We have chosen elements easy to find everywhere. We worked with ICE [Italian Institute for Foreign Commerce] in Bangkok as Communication Design Consultants for the event “Aperitivo Italiano”. Aperitivo Italiano was organized by ICE  in collaboration with the Italian Embassy and TICC [Thai-Italian Chamber of Commerce].

We worked with ICE in Bangkok to produce this invitation for one of their events, a conference about italian marble. We created this pop-up minimal invitation to reflect the idea of solidness and whiteness with the marble.

A Baroque Music Concert – Early Music Festival. Frankly speaking we didn’t know anything about Baroque music until we have met Maestro Dr. Jacopo Gianninoto, who a part to be a famous guitarist, lutenist and composer he is the chairperson of  ABAC School of Music . He has organized the event and he has asked us to design the program. We like the idea of merging graphic and baroque music. We have decided to combine this sophisticated music with an essential and minimal graphic. We associated Baroque Music to Baroque food and we chose 4 dishes born at that time. Here is the result, we hope you like it!

We collaborated as Digital PR & Communication Consultant to the diffusion of the Be Stupid communication campaign for DIESEL Italy, that was launched in 2010. It was one year online campaign keeping constantly update the most influent and important Italian blogs.

We design and develop the website for Communication Design [CommDe], the new program offered by the department of Industrial Design, Faculty of Architecture,Chulalongkorn University. A strongly visual website where the students and their works are the main protagonists. The background picture is a fundamental element of the layout and playfully reflects the spirit of the program. The message is clear: to be proud of the students! They are the university not a part of it. The face of the University is the face of each student.The site is completely built with an open source platform indexhibit™, which allows its free maintenance.

We were responsible of the Public Relations and  the brand management of this company focusing on the production of bicycles. We made for this project, the logo and the entire corporate identity, the art direction for the photography and website development.

We are are proud to announce that this project was the first blog in Mexico to talk about bike lifestyle and, in particular, about the fixed movement. This project was born as a hobby or, better, a real love for the bicycles. After almost two year writing and posting on this, we can now reveal the fruits of our labour. Thanks to the blog, Mexico City has seen the beginning of its own “fixed-movement” with monthly events displying gears sponsorized by Nike and weekly Bikepolo games.
The website’s design is simple and the navigation is reduced to an absolute minimum. Typographic identity was designed as a clear reference to the “Mexico 86″, while the green color is the Mexican green.

This short film explores the fear that develops inside a person and its manifestations. It examines how one’s perception of danger can influence the way we live in a space. There is a number of socio-economic factors that contribute to the diffusion of fear, including the rise of the crime rate and how the media chooses to represent this issue. In Mexico City the newspaper covers are splashed everyday with grisly photos and headlines of the latest murder or kidnapping. It is here that one can also observe that a very tangible and specific reaction to this problem is the change that occurs in the spaces we inhabit. More and more, we see fortresses being built in lieu of homes in an effort to evoke safety. This illusion of safety, however, is only skin deep, as the fortresses, with their high, hermetically closed walls and security cameras turn the streets beyond them into an unfriendly, unsafe space. When did this manifestation of fear begin? Is the open city at risk? How can we provide safe places to call home without building fortresses in their place?

We were responsible for art direction for this short film based on the current problems of waste management in Lagos, Nigeria. The final project was submitted directly to the Government of this country.

In 2009 we run 2 workshops on Innovation Thinking at the request of CEDIM. One workshop took place during the academic year while the other was run during the international design week in Monterrey.
